Patient Portal
We have added a new patient portal where you will be able to access your health information and contact us securely. To make an appointment online you will need to go through the new portal. Please go to the portal and fill out the registration form. We will then e-mail you a user name and password. I am sorry for the inconvenience but we hope that people will like the new features of our patient portal
News about United Health Care
After difficult negotiations, we have decided that we can no longer be “Participating Providers” with United Health Care Insurance. This means that if this is your insurance, we will no longer directly bill your insurance company for your office visit. Starting December 15, you will need to pay for your visit directly and then submit your bill to United to be reimbursed. Because we are no longer “Participating”, your level of reimbursement may be somewhat lower than previously. To offset this, we offer discounted fees for payment given right at the time of service, because this saves us costs on billing.
Your laboratory work, including blood tests, and Pap smears will continue to be submitted and billed directly to your insurance, so that part of your visit will not be affected. As a small office, we regularly reevaluate our business decisions so that we can continue to provide you with excellent, efficient, cost effective care. We are hoping that this will have less effect on you than you may expect. If you have a significant deductible with your insurance, most of the cost of your visit is not covered by your insurance anyway.
We regret any inconvenience to you. We hope we can work with you to continue to provide your medical care.
